Aligning, Designing, Managing & Evaluating the Performance of Programs
Government programs are investments. When they under-perform or fail to achieve desired outcomes or reap expected benefits, the problem may be a lack of effective program management. As a program manager, you are keenly interested in developing your knowledge and expertise to manage programs successfully. You face challenges such as detecting, managing, and overcoming issues arising with people (e.g., low engagement, skill-level), process (e.g., poor methods, accountability, or communications (e.g., unclear goals, lack of sponsorship).
