Barbara Quarta – Chief Development Officer and Deputy CEO

Barbara started collaborating with ALL DIGITAL in 2016, first as Fundraising and Project Manager, then as Chief Programmes Officer, and since July 2021 as Chief Development Officer and Deputy CEO. In this role, Barbara leads the fundraising activities of the organisation, including EU and other public and private donors, and contributes to the staff and membership management and development, while she also has a set of responsibilities in relation to the short and long-term development of the organisation.

Barbara has more than 15 years of professional experience working as senior manager for non-profit organisations and universities managing and coordinating medium and large-scale EU-funded projects (Erasmus+, H2020, etc.) in different fields (e.g. digital education, social inclusion, ICT in education, STEAM education, active citizenship, competence development, etc.).

Barbara has an extensive experience in exploring funding opportunities at European level as well as in designing grant funding strategies and coordinating proposal-writing and fundraising efforts for private donors, EU, and other public donors.

Her academic background is in social sciences and project management. She holds a master’s degree in Sociology with specialization in Socio-Anthropology and Development and a Professional University Diploma in Development Cooperation and Project Planning, both from Sapienza University of Rome. Barbara is native Italian, speaks fluent English, has basic knowledge of Portuguese and Spanish and she is improving her French and Greek.
