The Zlín Region recognizes the great opportunity and the necessity to significantly support the digitization, not only the digitization of the public sector, but also focus on the business sector, where digitization is a key to the future competitiveness of the region and to the growth of the wage level, especially with regards to the existing industrial character of the region. In the Regional Innovation Strategy of the Zlín Region digitization is the main part of the Zlín Region’s specialization domain “information, management and security systems “, however, it is also very closely related to the other three domains – “progressive design of products, technologies and processes”, “polymers in the circular economy” and “innovation in construction activities”. In relation to these domains, the Technological Innovation Center regularly organizes meeting of the platform of key companies and non-profit organizations in the field of IT, together with regional political representatives, representatives of secondary schools and the Thomas Bata University in Zlín. The region has been strengthening its cooperation with this regional university in order to achieve more significant development and greater attractiveness of IT fields in recent years, e.g. by supporting the teaching of subjects in the field of IT security at the Faculty of Applied Informatics (including introduction of topic blockchain together with the Rockaway Blockchain Fund), which was launched in September 2021. The region also supports study programs in Finance and Financial Technology at the Faculty of Management and Economics, including the use of blockchain in the financial management of companies. From 2022 on this cooperation will be enhanced, not only with the use of subsidy funds from the region, but also by the European funds from the National Recovery Plan.
The Zlín Region wants to be an important IT region in the future. In 2022, in cooperation with company BeePartner, it is preparing an Integrated Plan for strategic change in the development of ICT fields in the region. It is a set of investments and other activities, especially in the field of human resources and education, building the necessary infrastructure and background, or strengthening cooperation with renowned foreign partners. Their focus is mainly on decentralized technologies (blockchain, web3.0), but also on the rapid development of optical and 5G networks, the support of digitization in industry, or in general the education and attraction of experts in new technologies to the Zlín Region.

ALL DIGITAL Summit is co-organised by the following projects:
AMeLiE stands for advanced media literacy education to counter online hate speech. In AMeLiE we support teachers to address the topic of online hate speech in the classroom, and work with their students, in various ways, to make them aware of this phenomenon, support them to share experiences and foster kind communication among them.
The project has produced about 40 worksheets for teachers full of activities that they can implement directly in the classroom. Each worksheet and activity are tailored to a specific age group (kindergarten, primary school, secondary school)
RAYUELA’s main goal is to better understand the drivers and human factors affecting certain relevant ways of cyber criminality, as well as empower and educate young people on the benefits, risks and threats intrinsically linked to the use of the Internet by playing, thus preventing and mitigating cybercriminal behaviour.
The Acronym of the project “Empowering and education young people for the internet by playing” was given the title RAYUELA, a Spanish word meaning Hopscotch in English. As a research project, RAYUELA aims to bring together law enforcement agencies (LEAs), sociologists, psychologists, anthropologists, legal experts, computer scientists and engineers, to develop novel methodologies that allow better understanding of the factors affecting online behaviour related to new ways of cyber criminality, as well as promoting the potential of these young talents for cybersecurity and technologies.
Women4IT (EEA Grants) aims to empower young women across Europe to become part of the digital economy. By providing fully funded, individually tailored digital skills training reflecting current market needs, we have worked to equip women with a set of in-demand digital competencies and employability guidance, all to drive both their career advancement and economic independence. Women4IT addresses the structural transformation of the labor market due to the growing digital society in which there are significantly less women than men. This digital gap will lead to more women left out of the digital economy, widening the gender gap. The main objective of the project is to develop the digital competences of young women who are at risk of exclusion from the labor market thus improving their employability.
The objective of the GameBox project is to develop an educational program using artificial intelligence to support soft-skills and entrepreneurship skills among adults. In addition, the project aims to help participants verify their level of knowledge and skills in the areas necessary for starting a business, discover their role within the team and thus help them decide which path to take in their professional career. This all is done through an online based platform accessible to anyone, in particular aiming at adults facing disadvantage on the job market.
