ALL DIGITAL Weeks 2022 strongly supports the implementation of specific actions of the Digital Education Action Plan 2021-27, with the main objective of enhancing digital skills and competences for the digital transformation.
The 3rd week of the ALL DIGITAL Weeks campaign is focusing on promoting the use of the European Digital Competence Framework (DigComp), and the launch event will serve as an opportunity to present the updated DigComp 2.2 version.

Ana Carrero, Deputy head of unit, DG EMPL, European Commission
Ana Carrero is deputy head of the unit in charge of vocational education and training, as well as digital and green skills in the Directorate General of Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion of the European Commission. Previously, she was responsible for promoting the modernisation of the labour market, skills and social protection systems in Spain, in accordance with the European Semester reform agenda, as well as ensuring social cohesion through the effective programming and implementation of the European Social Fund and the Youth Employment Initiative.
Dr. Riina Vuorikari, Research fellow, JRC, European Commission
Dr. Vuorikari is the lead investigator for DigComp 2.2. Her work focuses on developing better understanding of knowledge, skills and attitudes that help citizens engage confidently, critically and safely with digital technologies, including AI systems. The DigComp 2.2 update is part of EU’s policy initiative for Digital Education Action Plan (2021-2027): https://ec.europa.eu/education/education-in-the-eu/digital-education-action-plan/action-8_en
Dr. Riina Vuorikari joined the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC) in July 2013. She contributes to research and policy support in the field of digital education and skills’ development. Her other themes cover areas such as Teacher Professional Development and Learning, Educational Makerspaces and AI in Education.
Riina has degrees in education (M.Ed in 1998 in Finland) and hypermedia (DEA in 1999 in France). Her PhD is from the Dutch research school for Information and Knowledge Systems (2009). Since 1999, she works in the field of digital education. Her main interest is dealing with issues related to the adoption of new technologies and innovation in education. Before joining the JRC in Sevilla, she worked as a Project Manager and Research Analyst. Many of her clients were based in Brussels, including educational organisations such as European Schoolnet, and national and regional education authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education). https://ec.europa.eu/jrc/en/person/riina-vuorikari
